This is the simplest robot you can make… out of old parts from around the house. While this little robot doesn’t use energy from the sun or wind, we’ve placed it here with other alternative energy projects because the parts come from the trash bin.
This project is an extension of the Jigglebot robot from Unit 10.

Watch batteries are available at most drug stores and hardware stores.
We do not have any old cellphones that we do not use anymore either.

You can add a tiny push-button switch or simply disconnect the wire from the battery.

I made one, but I had to double up the toothbrushes for more support. 😀 But I had lots of fun making it.
Get in there with a screwdriver carefully, as you don’t want to mangle the motor that you need. I suggest getting a couple of old cell phones from a store that recycles them – that way, you can mess up one without worrying about it. One of the keys to taking apart stuff is to go *slowly* and not just rip it open.
How would you suggest to take a cellphone apart?
